Post Game Wrap-Up: Nevada 44, SDSU 51
The post game press conference for the Nevada Wolf Pack after a devastating loss in overtime to San Diego State. Head coach Brian Polian, QB Cody Fajardo and defensive lineman Jordan Hanson address the media after the game.
"There are no moral victories, there's no medals for trying...we had the chance to win the game but we couldn't make the plays to do it." - head coach Brian Polian on the loss.
The Nevada Wolf Pack battled back after being down 21 points in the first half to force overtime, but it wasn't enough after the Aztecs Quinn Kaeler completed a 13 yard pass to Eric Judge for the first TD in OT and Nevada just couldn't answer.
This was a high scoring game--SDSU over Nevada 51 to 44, so the question of what the defense may need to do in order to try and get those 3rd down conversions as well as just stop the oppositions running game may be a question on the mind of Wolf Pack fans.
"[On the Nevada defense being where it needs to be] No, and throughout the whole year there is always going to be room for improvement...our defense definitely needs improvement and it's not just because we lost."--Jordan Hanson, defensive lineman.
Nevada may go home licking their wounds, and with an extra week to do so they look bounce back and start focusing on their next opponent which is also one that is going to test their strengths, when they take on Boise State University on October 19th.
