The Nevada Wolf Pack opened this season against UCLA. Nevada’s opponent entered into this game ranked No. 21, and favored to win by 20+ points, which was surpassed in the final score. Nevada traveled to the Rose Bowl excited and hopeful, but even with Cody Fajardo’s (QB) okay passing game while also rushing for 106 yards, the Pack couldn’t keep up after a hopeful first and second quarter, going into halftime trailing 13-17.

During the second half UCLA pulled away from the Wolf Pack—putting an impressive 41 points on the board during the next two quarters. UCLA was the first to score out of the gate by Brett Hundley, the sophomore QB, ran for 11 yards and the touchdown, then a blocked punt returned for a touchdown by the fullback #44 Phillip Ruhl.  With only one more TD for Nevada—a rush for 19 yards into the end zone by Fajardo, the Pack dropped to 0-1 to start of the 2013 football season.

They head home to Reno for their own season opener against UC Davis, September 7th 2013 at 6:05pm PT at Chris Ault Field.
